In the early months of 2007, as I
began working on the calendar with the established theme of creation,
I decided to record the steps of drawing and painting one of
the illustrations. The drawing chosen was of the chipmunks and
the sundial. Chipmunks have always been a favorite of mine. They
have graced the cover of the calendar, subject of cards and figurines
many times.
The process used was photographing the progress of the painting
with a still camera mounted on a camera stand. Over 500 images
were captured but only half of them were used in creating this
video.
